Five discussion groups are meeting, each once a month to discuss what really matters: No Agenda Clubs in Turku (since 2003), Helsinki (since 2010) and Jyväskylä (since 2010), Leadership&ICT Forum in Turku (since 2005), and Health Forum in Turku (since 2010). They have in common a curiosity to open dialogue. This blog combines their findings. Turku, Helsinki and Jyväskylä are cities in Finland.

No Agenda Club Turku on 1.4.2011; How will we learn?

In the near future (2020), how and where are we learning? What to do to educate young professionals to be creative and innovative? What are the deeds that should be done today (immediately) --- this year (quite soon)?

We started with these questions, presented by a group of researchers from Turku Polytech of Applied Sciences. We didn't answer them directly - this is natural - but had an inspiring session instead, a flow of exploration. Some ideas can be seen on the picture, with Generation Y named as "Oh Yes" -generation, and us (a bit older ones) as "Oh No" -generation. That said, we added that the word "generation" doesn't really apply here, this is not a question of your physical age, but your mental attitude.

Anyway, we see that learning and working will be quite different, perhaps quite soon? The next picture gives some keywords we seemed to be interested in - we don't really know what's going to happen, but believe that these words will somehow be present in the near future?

Just one more observation: There hasn't been a single "give me one word" -flipchart (we do this in almost every session) in any of the No Agenda Groups for several years, that hasn't got the word TRUST on it. Seems that this is the most important word right now?

To trust or not to trust, that's the question... How do you create trust, please send some comments?
